Bowling Green State University

Winter Wheat 2009
The Mid-American Review Festival of Writing
Session Proposals sought

:Traditionally, Winter Wheat sessions have been craft oriented, rather than formal AWP-type panels. Some of our successful session from last year include "Writing Double-Voice Narratives," "Authentic Writing: Using Theatre Exercises as a Launch Pad," "Writing and Philosophy: A Combined Dialogue," "From Charcoal to Ink: Images to Draw (From)," "Writing Obliquely: The Slant of a Poem," "A Good Man is Hard to Find: Creating Unforgettable Characters," and many more. Our audience includes people from undergraduates to graduate students to graduates of creative writing programs to interested others. It's quite a mix, so prepare for a group of varied skills. We are looking for craft sessions in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction--as well as sessions that cross genres. "
