Missouri State Poetry Society Winter Contest
Deadline: Postmark February 15th. Two copies of each entry; category number and name in upper left corner of both copies, poet's name and address in upper right corner of one copy. If member, put "Missouri State Poetry Society" below your address, otherwise put "non-member". 40 or fewer lines. May be previously published if poet retains rights to the poem; may enter each category as many times as poet wishes. Categories: 1) rhymed verse or blank verse, 2) free verse, 3) Humorous verse, 4) any form, winter subject 5) poet's choice (any form any subject). Alabama State Poetry Society 2009 Spring Poetry Competition

Ohio Poetry Day Contests
Open in March and end on May 31st. Anyone who has not entered since 2005 will need to send SASE to May Jo Zook, 3520 St. Rte. 56, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044 for rules, which will also be posted on the web site of the Ohio Poetry Association in the Spring. Entry fee is $10 inclusive, and you must have rules flyer and entry blank to know the categories.
Massachusetts State Poetry Society
Contests open to all poets. Poets may enter as many poems as they wish but only one prize may be won by any poet. Entry Fee is $3 per poem. Send two copies of each poem - one with name and address and one with no ID for judge. The Gertrude Dole Memorial Award: Subject and form Poet's choice, line limit 40 lines, poem must not have been previously published or have won any prize. Prizes: $25, $15, $10. Deadline" March 15th.
